i live in an area that's considered pretty safe in the city. yes it's still san francisco but it's not very scary walking around street by yourself in the middle of a night.
then this morning, i was driving and i saw bunch of cops and ambulance by a day care/school which is literally on next block. then my friend sent me a link to local news...this morning a woman dropped off her kids and came out of the school and someone shot her to death...
7:30 in the morning, killing someone at day care, and no witness, and we have no idea who killed her. what kind of wacko would murder someone in front of bunch of kids in the daylight?
and now i'm scared.
i don't want to go home... :'(

fer fuk sake - when i lived in the mission, one morning on the way to work, there were 2 bodies at 8:00 at my bus stop jsut south of potrero hill, shot to death and a river of blood. that image still haunts my memory every time I see a shelter that looks similar.

that really sucks.
first thing that comes to mind is domestic violence. toss a gun into that nightmare and it always goes from bad to terrible.
shit.

graf, you got nothing to worry about, it wasnt random (I Doubt)

sorry to hear that. where I'm originally from, on average, especially as a kid there was a murder virtually every week. Not fun to think about.
:(

my city has been getting crazy with the gun violence lately. 2 miles away from my apartment.
9 shootings last weekend, that is a lot for a city of my size.
It really sucks.

It's a well documented, that shootings start to happen in Northern Inner Cities as soon as the weather breaks very warm. Never fails, same sh*t story.
Seems even more prevalent when it's humid. Odd.

yeah it sucks, Im not worried about myself. but, that shit happens like 2 miles from my crib, right across the holton street bridge.

Right. I'm done with my old areas of the city. Those days are over, but I worry about my family and friends in that old area.
But you could always get it from anyone when walking the streets. Generally they're drive-by's here.
They're stupid though, they always get busted.

i had few nights in my old apartment where we'd hear gunshots close by.
FUCK GUNS.

the way I see it, it isnt like nuns are getting shot, it is always people that were into something that might get them shot. exceot for maybe the type of stuff graf was talking bout.
- JazX0
mrdobolina, I was just going to say that. It's very rarely a random killing, it's always for a reason. The dudes getting it always seem like they were asking for it on some level. Innocent bystanders suffer.

(Jul 5 05, 19:26)maybe this chick cheated on her hubby. thats 'asking for it'

Guns are for idiots with small dicks and even smaller brains

sounds great in australia, but in the US people already have guns. the genie has already left the bottle.

I agree with alot of your view dob's but saying that some people who get shot are 'asking for it' is a bit of a wild west attitude. No one has the right to shoot another human unless it is in total, life threatening self defense. I guess it’s what separates America from the rest of the western world. US can’t seem to grasp life without their right to defend themselves with firearms.
