this experiment was also a test for what the euros are going to do. land on a comet in 2014.
I read an article about it and it sounded incredible. They are going to orbit a comet and actually land on it while it is moving.

Look - the probe was slightly smaller than a residential dishwasher (American size, not Euro or Japanese size...). The comet is aprox. the size of Manhattan. We didn't blow anything up. Blowing something up would imply explosives - sure, sure you got the physics of one mass hitting each other at a certain velocuty, blah, blah..but we were like a gnat falling onto a water buffalo here...it kicked up some dust and whatnot...
And you're "How many people has NASA killed..." thing was funny...
Gee how many people died sailing across the ocean to get somewhere else? Oh! Thousands! Probably not worth it then..better ot stay in our little medieval huts and throw dirt on ourselves..
