So I have gotten myself into a somewhat bidding war between two potentional employers.
The first company : http://www.crdezign.com
Pros: Good money, 10 minute drive
Cons: Would be doing generic template design work, mainly web work, less chance for portfolio pieces and they use PerlThe second: http://www.blastweb.com
Pros: Much more creative freedom, work accross a variety of mediums, a lot of potential for portfolio pieces
Cons: Not as much money, much longer commuteNeed some input as this is becoming a tough decision.

are you just starting out or have you got experience??
if your starting out go for the job where you can build your portfolio. may mean you have to make sacrifices such as long commute and not being able to save as much money. but useful for getting higher pay later on.
if you're experieced ... go with the company with the good vibe and the ladies hehe

Thanks everyone.
I'm still pondering what I should do. If it matters any i'm probably going to be moving in 6 months anyways. So its between better portfolio pieces versus better pay.

You can always do your freelance on the side for sweet folio stuff. There are lots of good causes that give lots of creative freedom.
I'd say go with the money, but thats only because i've been doing awesome folio stuff probono a lot lately :)

how old are you? if you are early on in your career I would go for portfolio pieces and whichever environment you think it going to help grow your skillset and experience...

I'm still relatively early on in my career. I've been doing freelance on and off for the past 5 years and only have 6 months of real world experience in a design studio setting. My freelance has been picking up as of late.
I think I might tell the company that I was originally going to go with (with less pay) that the other place offered more money and see what they say.

i would def. go with the more creative / less money job.
the more creative a place is, the much better it is to go into work everyday.
unless you have a shitload of bills to pay, money doesn't really mean shit. creative experiences will surpass it ten fold.

Unfortunately I do have a ton of bills and a wedding to plan, which is why the more paying job is appealing. As well as the fact that I am planning on moving in 6 months anyways.
