42/45 degrees celcius is the range btw. if it's higher you have a problem. you can download software to probe the temp, look for it at versiontracker.

i like it, looks like a music stand

Carty,
-anon, I can see your point.
But, you cant see the bottom part but its actually a tripod stand. I use it primerally for photography when I shoot directly from the laptop. Since Im standing when I shoot, that edge doesnt affect anything. When I sitting down, I connect it to second monitor mouse and keyboard, so again, it doesnt affect me. But your right, I can definitly take half an inch outta that edge for better founctionality.

meok.. how do you type over that lip?
- Carty0
all powerbooks get hot... so... we all need to come up with our own solutions... mine?
just a keyboard wrist protector cut and converted to a mini stand.. placed underneath the back half of the machine, lifts up the rear end, makes it easier to type, and keeps air circulating underneath.
or buy the ibreeze.

I'm just hoping my motherboard isn't melting inside...

When they switch to Intel the next gen Powerbooks should be really nice - smaller, thinner, lighter, cooler
Will be interesting to see what apple's designers come up with given they won't need to worry about heat.
