i decided walking the 20 blocks wasn't worth it and then watching it on tv made me feel left out :(

This is bigger than just music, I wish people could see that.

PPink Floyd was pretty damn cool, they still played all those songs perfectly. Cool stuff.

Look.
For a good cause, definitely yes..
However, and that's a BIG, BIG however, does the money go to where it's supposed to?
I have my doubts my friends.
It's just entertainment and for Bobbie G. to stay in the limelight, imo.
I realize it's to peruase the G8 and sh*t, but do you think they actually care?
I don't.
You're better off shipping a box to the middle of nowhere, The Sudan, Eritrea or Ethiopia, etc. Somebody will get it that needs, even if it's random, trust me.
Where are the so-called RICH-@ss Saudi's when you need them. They are awefully f*cking close to that region!!!!!!!? Or I am stupid?
//Yes I am stupid, thanks fella's.

Alright, Chr*st Alm*ghty, I cannot resist this thread now.
Hey, all of Southern Africa is poor (in terms of the entire region, and that's a large-@ss region), but in no way are they starving to death. Too much development...///
What we need to do is pinpoint the suffering area and I don't think we are doing that. We're too, too general. It's starting to f*cking p*ss me off.
Extreme poverty, they say, OK, let's talk 'NORTHWEST' Africa.
Why doesn't Egypt, Israel, S. Arabia, Kuwait, etc. do something about it. Those with serous money in the region do something as well.
Skin Type?
Just a theory, but from what I saw with my own two crooked eyes, and yes they are very crooked, just maybe........

it was awesome. really made me think. and i DID feel left out as well. wish i had the resources to attend it and meet some NT'ers on the drinks?
it's great how people feel connected in a collective consciousness for a better world. we need that every now and then. and the urge for interdependence next to independence (or over ..?) was right on.
i hope people will realise the horrors of starvation are still there, that political corruptness should never be ignored and be fought infinitly.
cynicism is a lack of creativity. cynicism is the beginning of the end.
life can only thrive on positive outlooks.
think about it.
cheers.

FutchOven, keywords there: "political corruptness".
Until that stops you can have Live Aid 1000 and it really will not matter, trust me.

They did, but because Live8 over ran all the trains left with no body on them, and because of engineering work no more trains were put on. Also I think Liverpool St station was closed so people couldnt even sleep there.Live 8 over ran, haha, who done the planning for the show Network Rail??? Hahaha....
- ethios0
Damn, yeah, 2 hours late. Anyway, Live 8's over, back to regular life
Hahahaha just joking ;)
Hopefully this will have made a difference to the G8 etc. etc.
Two things that annoyed me: Kanye West and Ms. Dynamite bringing race issues into it

Either rock and roll can change the world or not. Either Hip Hip can change the world or it can't. Either pop culture can change the world or not.
Eitrher you are a cynical, jaded pessimist, or you're an optomistic realist. Either you care or don't care.
Which world do you want to live in?
Props to Bob Geldoff and for ethios saying earlier:
"I'd like to see you organise a worldwide event consisting of 9 concerts to over 3 billion people."rock on

why is it that when musicians stand up for a cause they're being politicians, whereas we all sit on our lazy arses and dont even do anything - at least they're using their public image for something
