I hate that you have to work really hard to get your act together and then someone screws you over taking all your cash.
They think I got tampered with at a LLoyds bank....
Honest - I think we should team up and fight crime....

so you get a new account number and card sent to you everyone month? hhmmmm... I only use my bank card to buy stuff on the net. sounds like a good idea. wonder what my bank would say if i told them I wantedt to do that.

happened to me the weekend before last... someone tried to make a deposit on a betting site... 6 times, 590 quid each go... luckily they all got declined...
the bank said that i wouldn't be liable anyway as it is fraud...
worrying though!

actually for online purchases save the only card I use is a secured card that I put money on when I want to buy something if stolen it never works. My corporate account and traveling card is the one I switch out and watch

same thing happened to me and a buddy from work the same week a few months ago.
guy spent about a grand in a grocery store on each of our cards then a couple hundred bucks at wal-mart...
bank of america had the money back into my account within about 3-5 days though.

The banks have to pay you back right now. BUT - the new chip and pin... when that is standard YOU will be liable. It's nothing to do with security, it's the banks not wishing to pay for fraud anymore.
