spanish callers

last night, after playing softball with bunch of friends, we went down to this dive bar called "uptown". at one point, i was outside with my friends, smoking, and this dude came out.
he said his name was boris and that he needed to borrow one of our cellphones to call his wife so he could get inside his house. he showed us a piece of paper which had two numbers written down on it.
i told him he could use my phone, but i didn't trust him with my phone, so i dialed one of the numbers. a woman answered the call in spanish. i don't know a word of spanish, so after some struggle, i ended up giving my phone to boris, who talked to this woman briefly but fluently in spanish. after that, he said thanks to me. one of my friends asked him where he was from, to which he replied "russia", which seemed a little odd considering how fluent he was in his spanish but you never know. then he disappeared into darkness by walking into capp street.
this morning, i got up and took a shower. came out and found my phone having 3 missed calls - all from different numbers, and i had two voice messages in spanish. some lady left messages - didn't think too much of it and deleted the messages.
since i got to work, i've got 3 phone calls, all from different numbers, but all by spanish speaking women. i'd answer the call, and they'd say "do you speak spanish?" and i'm like "no". they then say "thank you" and hang up.
i'm not sure what's going on..i'm thinking this is somehow related to that boris dude, but my limited spanish does not allow me to find out exactly what's going on. maybe it's time for me to pick up that spanish learning book.
anyway, the end.

seriously, i don't mind them calling me..but i'm hoping 1)boris is okay and 2)they're not thinking i'm boris' affair or something.
