goin' Saturday with the girlfriend.. Any recommendations on a nice place to eat or anything interesting to do? I think we'll try to stay indoors mostly considering its supposed to hit 95 this weekend.

are you looking for historical touristy types of things to do?...there are lots of bus tours that are fun...there is the constitution center, the liberty bell, etc...tons of restaurants here: http://philadelphia.citysearch.c… the phillies are playing sat afternoon at 1:20...where in philly will you be?

i'll be at the game tonight, swilling beers and eating steak sandwiches...ballpark is real nice, but might not be on a hot afternoon.
at night, most of the kiddies hang out at bars around the 2nd and Market Street area. nice restaurants in Rittenhouse Square area too.

Philly is nice to walk around even if it is 95. Couple spots you should hit up.
1. South Street
- full of shops and bars
- while their go to Tatooed Moms
- Get an Americano
Its def. worth it!
(Right next to Tower records)
- Jinxed
(4th & South, right across from 611 records)
They got vinyl toys, shirts, books and prints2. Walnut St. (Between the blocks of 14th-20th)
- another place to shop & eat
- Rittenhouse park is at the end and Ben & Jerry's ice cream is across the street3. Old City
- Bars and Clubs
- Historical Buildings
- You'll find alot of lil galleries as well. 222 Gallery has a Dalek exhibit up. @nd & Vine st.4. Rarebreed
(17th and South, but more towards the 18th block of South st.)
It's a store with tons of graff supplies, tons of books, vinyl records, magazines and local artists shirts and art workThat's all I can think of for now. Hope this helps

if you are near upenn check out avril 50 (34th and Sansom streets)...sweet little magazine shop...the upenn campus is beautiful too, lots of nice parkish areas and old architecture

if you get a cheesesteak go to Jim's (4th and South) or Little Pete's (17th and Chancellor)...do NOT go to Pat's or Geno's...worst quality meat ever

yeah something fairly nice.. can't do steakhouses and the like however, she's vegetarian.. Can't wait to see her wince when I shovel a cheesesteak down my throat for lunch

you should do the "philadelphia challenge"...go to south street...get a cheesesteak from Jim's and a slice of pizza from Lorenzo's...wrap the slice around the cheesesteak and say hello to the most delicious thing you will ever eat
