Which music player should I get for myself - that will last for more than 9+ hours of constant music play (awesome battery), easy to use and learn, and has a nice UI?
Please help me out.

I love apple and always will.
But don't count on iPod for battery life.
I was really disappointed.

@SoulFly
so which one do you have and how long does it last ya for?
- lvl_130
i would go for the ipod. and also a backup battery from here. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/i…
fuck, i feel like a salesman for that place, but honestly, that battery lasts 10+ hours

Which Ipod tho? Such a variety in sizes and formats (photo/non-photo)?
I am looking at this one currently,
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/pr…It states that it has up to 15 hrs of battery life? But in what sense? in non use or in use?
- lvl_130
15 hrs?! no way! take what they say and cut it in half.
i guess mine plays really long if i just put it on shuffle, don't touch the dial, and let it play all day. the more you flip through shit, change volume, have to use backlit, etc. the shorter and shorter the battery gets (sorry if this obvious, but it's really crazy how much that drains the battery)

heh, actually, thanks for letting me know where it drains the most battery life. Most sales people won't let you know that - well until you buy it and play with it and then smack yourself on the forehead and chase mofo with a pitchfork around the store for lying. ;)
I was actually keen on getting and Ipod, but now i am disappointed.
So ultimately, what is the real deal music player? That is worth the pay!!!??

my 1 gen. iPod still have enough juice to play 10+ hours,
everybody bitch about iPod battery hours at the same time as they have it set to 5 min. backlight. no wonder it runs out !!
- betanerd0
ahh the irony. truth sucks sometimes. ;)
- betanerd0
okay, so can one turn off completely the back light and any other feature...and how much can i get out of the battery life? 10 or more?
- lvl_130
yep. it's in the menu settings. you can turn of the click noise too...but i kind of like that : )
- betanerd0
lol. well, what about size? what is the right size to go with. which size is worth the money?

my 5 gigs is more than enough for me, but some need 4 weeks worth of music... so its really just up to you..
- lvl_130
i would say just go with the 20 gig personally. the color/the photo, ehh. if you can afford it i guess. 20 gigs of mp3s is like 7 straight days of music though on high setting.
why would you want to view your digi photos on a 2 inch screen when you can just view your digi photos on the 2 inch screen that is attached to the camera?
- betanerd0
i just hope i dont run into a girl asking, "so, what is the size of your ipod?"....reply, "umm...gosh...20 gigs"....her reply, "Mine is 60 gigs"...me, "gulp"...!!!...her reply, "Size does matter!!!"...and she walks out...the girl of my dreams.
;) lol

if you use big headphones as opposed to the small ipod in-ear headphones, cut the battery life by about 30% again.
- betanerd0
LMAO. So then I will look like an Eskimo :D. Awesome.
Thanks to all the suggestions, I apprecaite them all. It's good to know all the CONS and PROS.
Thanks again.

I got a Creative Labs Muvo2
love it.
i wanted something smaller than a 20gig+ ipod.the muvo2 has 4gig memory and battery lasts forever.
i did a lot of reading online reviews that were comparing the iPod 4gig with the Muvo2 and the Muvo came out on top - especially with better sound quality.
