I'm looking around for a good quality 19 inch monitor for graphic/motion design around the 550 euros or 650 dollars for at home.
I'v heard that Lacie has good monitors in that price class.
Like theLaCie electron19blueIV : CRT monitor
http://www.lacie.com/nl/products…
orLaCie photon19vision : LCD monitor
http://www.lacie.com/nl/products…Or do you have another idea for a monitor.... for even maybe less money?
Thanks for the help...!

this one is very similar to the one i have (it's the news model):
http://www.necdisplay.com/produc…or this one: (the one of my girlfirend)
http://www.iiyama.nl/default.asp…both use diamndtron CRT (the same of LaCie), have very good image quality, 3 levels of lightness. and are more cheaper than laCie

ah, and the price for the iiyama monitor in Italy is 399 Euro (strange that in the NL site is'nt reported)

The NEC one's are good, and as Fariska says, they are the same as the LaCie ones for less euros
I like the look of these Formac ones, got some old Formac monitors at work, no problems in 3 years and well priced.

!! so Low?
I keep my 19" @ 1600x1200, 'cause i need space to work, or, more correctly, to park all those palettes

i'm probably going to get slated for this recommendation but what the hell :)
i've been doing quite bit of research into monitors and i found quite a suprising recommendation;
dell ultrasharp 2005fpw.
i know dell are usually shite but found tons of good reviews. its 20.1". widescreen, 16ms responce time and uses the same tft panel as apple cinema displays.
there's a head to head here;http://www.anandtech.com/display…
Price wise its only 650 euros, though im sure you can get it for less.

My eyes are getting old and tired!
...so I need it big!
Hahaha!
We also have the Target White Point down to D65 (neutral white) and the Gamma set to 1.8 in an attempt to get as close to the printwork as possible

mutanthands - that's worth knowing, cheers for that link!
