Hey guys, I'm no stranger to piecing together photographs but I've never actually made a full 360-degree rotatable image.
I need to piece together seamlessly a bunch of photos and the client wants to be able to display these photos on a 42" Plasma screen and be able to rotate the picture left and right on command. I'm assuming something like that would be impossible to put on a standard DVD, right?
What kind of program would I use to do something like that. Quicktime VR, maybe? I've never done that before

there's plenty of programs:
QuickTime VR Authoring Studio from Apple
realviz sticher
vr toolbox
panoweaver
photovista
etc.

aye- makes it easy if you shoot with a normal (50mm) lens to stich together (if yo already aint done so).

Which would you say is the best software on that list:
RealViz
VRworx
or Tourweaver from Easypano?Ideally the client would like to be able to pan back and forth on command , so would that be possible if this were to be burnt on a standard NTSC DVD?

i've only used so quicktime authoring vr, and it was a long time ago so i dunno really, sorry.

Both VRworx and Realviz look great and it looks like both of them export as quicktime format. The trick would be making it pan on command if it were to be published to DVD. If it's not possible then I'll just tell the client to hook up a PC to their plasma tv

I've always used VR Worx, it's very simple, offers good export quality and takes only a couple of clicks to get the panorama looking spiffy.
That said, if you've not got the correctly setup tripod and panohead to get the good photos in the first place, there's not too much you can do.

vr worx is really good and simple to use-but if you want a really quick and easy option use panorama factory (deres a free download of the software on the net). it stitches the whole thing together for you with one click of the button and all u have to do is sit back and relax!

i had nothing but problems with RealViz Sticher 3.5.1 [osx]... Crashing, render problems etc. that i actually ended up giving up what i was doing...
it was a crap idea anyway...
