It's funny when you leave a place for a period of time, them come back only to see things are just how they were before.

shaddap tymeframe,
tell me things are all right in your new neck of the woods

I blame the swiss and those germans for the grid. You can't live with it, you can't live without it. then there's that friggin' golden section...

I haven't read all the threads but I agree with coco, typography is important.
Who was Airey burning halfway down?

wow this thread is still alive. can't believe it.
yo ric thanks for the praise. i'm no master typographer myself and will never make claim to being on either.

i designed it on an ibook so the text looks big to me, hopefully i'll get some time this next week to re-work some things.thanks for all the constructive feedback and advice.
oh, and fyi i never asked for a 'crit' gorbie. it just came out of the blue.
cheers.

okay, okay kOna. you never asked for my opinion, and i should have never mentioned anything of your name. but since i brought it (your typography) up, i might as well pick some things out and tell you exactly what it was that perturbed me.
First.
on your print work on "capabilities statement".
the kerning of the letters 'iliti' is rather close. what i would have done is to make the kerning consistent to the width of the cross bar of the "t." and it seems like you were runnng tight on space up, so i understand why you would have done it.Second.
also another print work. "Set the Table with Alpha Baking.
The line spacing of the title makes no sense. It's a little uneasy to look at and it seems you have about 4-5 different point sizes going on. There's no order. or reason unless you were trying to have a play on words with the idea of actually setting up a table or setting something up in general.Same goes for "Setting the table with alpha baking"
anyway. I am entitled to my own opinions. Everything we do is subjective anyway. But whatever man, it's the clients work...they actually stuck with it, so i don't hate you. And frankly, it doesn't seem like you would care if i did.
i'll work on showing you some of my work so you can can make a big disgrace out of it. then we'll be even?

what is going on here? this is hilarious.
- Gorbie0
why are you still here?
- coco_ono0
"why are you still here?"
because i love you.
ain't that a pisser?
- jdcomba0
i think it's unfair to unwantedly criticize someones work when you yourself have none available...
...don't you?
(ignore spelling errors)
- Gorbie0
that's beside the fact.
why would you criticize someones work who never even asked?
do you just to hear yourself talk?
- jdcomba0
fucking asshole. way to be a dick, whoever started this post.
nice life.
- coco_ono0
good fucking god. the work is out there to be seen. there are things to be said about it. get over it.
and yeah, it may be unfair that i don't have a site up to show my work.
- Gorbie0
go inject your silly, insignificant little student opinion in some other website.
your stabs were unwarranted, unwanted, tactless and boring.
don't you have any friends you can criticize instead?
- coco_ono0
my my. let's end it here. thanks.
- coco_ono0
for gorbie.
- jdcomba0
get over yourself
