It projects if it's moving at the speed of light, doesn't it?
I thought that you were standing still. But if you're riding that fleshlight (Sp?) through space the light would still move at the speed of light in all directions, so I guess you would see it somehow.

the answer is plain simple (enough joking now, kiddos)
metaphooor:
if they threw you of a flying plane, and they threw you at a speed of 5km/h and the plain was travelling 300km/h, you still would fall in front of the plain ... the same with jumping IN a plane, you don't get slammed to the back.

I saw a stripper in Vancouver do something much cooler with a flashlight than send it moving at the speed of light once...not only was the flashlight turned on, we all were...
- lnu0
Yeah but it's not the same when you reach the speed of light since light can't travel faster than that in a vacuum.
- ribit0
Its usually a good idea to put your flashlight in a box with a (live) cat and several clocks before accelerating it to the speed of light...

tick, i need that stripper's phone number

I was in a job interview and I opened a book and started reading. Then I said
to the guy, "Let me ask you a question. If you are in a spaceship that is
traveling at the speed of light, and you turn on the headlights, does anything
happen?" He said, "I don't know." I said, "I don't want your job."

a flashlight with a b*ner flying in a vacuum ... and all that happening inside a stripper ... time for some greenies now

i can't believe you guys are still talking about this.

yes, lame but funny still (on a base level). come on it's not like you didn't slightly smile!
- tparsons0
Yes depending on which angle you're viewing it from. It also depends on if the beam of light was turned on before the flashlight itself started it's light speed journey.
- airey0
surely you couldn't turn it on after it took-off? man, yoiu'd be running quick!

tparsons:
explain the difference between turning it on before or after reaching the speed of light.
thx
- tparsons0
if it's on before it starts moving the beam will be ahead of the flashlight. because both the beam and the flashlight are moving at the speed of light the flashlight won't pass up the beam. if you need to turn it on after it's already moving use a remote switch.

i had this question in physics one time. both the flashlight and the light would be visible in a vacuum, and they would be traveling at exactly the same speed.
light cannot move faster than the speed of light, normal rules of physics don't apply to things travelling this fast, thus einstein's quantum theory, which is all, theory. so there is no definitive answer, only conjecture.
