nope, you'd be much worse off with no jobbie job, living in a 3rd world country.

I find myself wondering more and more about it. The internet is fucking boring and I want a change but I can't quite figure out what I want to do!

I have been questioning my career path recently. I know I like to build and create, but thinking I should've done something more hands on. Carpenter, custom cars.....

there was an interesting article on the recent GQ magazines on those guys who decided to drop and start doing things they love.
this one guy, he became so successful, that he had everything in his life. then one day, he just dropped everything. he left his key in his porsche, sold everything and decided to do a solo expedition to the north pole.
pretty interesting stories.

I dropped everything after 9/11 and moved to SE Asia. I got a job in Thailand and spent the better part of my 3 years there on a motorbike in Laos, Burma, Cambodia, and Thailand.
It was great but I came back and I'm bored outta my skull. I also didn't really prepare for a 'cushy' return and had a hell of a year getting back into the groove here.
If you do go, be better prepaared for your return than I was.

good story tonx.
i did some really shitty jobs when i left university, like putting cheese on meatburgers, packing boxes and that kind of thing. all very monotonous and low-paid. i've been sitting at a computer working every day for about 5 years now and i love it, can't get enough of it. you just have to balance it with some nice things like making music or cycling or looking after kids (yours or friends or whatever), or making the titanic out of matchsticks and hair or cooking or even tennis or naked squash.
