Illustrator pissed off error

Theres a way to open an illustrator file in BBedit (or something) and edit the code and fix it.
I'll dig out how to do it

Place the AI file inside another AI file or place the AI in an Id¥nDesign file and you can extract the vectors that way.

great artist roster btw. nac if you want to get tattooed there make sure you book way ahead, those artists are booked out during the shows most of the time.

are you working off a server by any chance? we had a problem with stuff like that here and fucked up a lot of random work. everytime you save work it creates a temp file id. once the id's are all used up it cycles back, where in turn it starts to fuck up all the orig. temp files.

i forgot to mention that this problem is solved once people restart their machines for future files. unfortunately what get's written over before the restart is fucked

the restart freed up some space etc...I was going to do a clean install but everything seems to be alright now - and I have a whole day to recreate that file if i want.
