It's probably not your fault....

i been telling them since last year but they REFUSED that it was my battery..
- woof0
They say it's because their later batteries were made in Korea. Korea my ass. My powerbook which was bought 2+ years ago failed. It just didnt work. At 1st I thought I'd been unlucky. Soon I found out (at least) other 4 or 5 people who had similar problems.

its 1160 not 1161

lets see i got my PB in 2004 Jan
after first month i took it back cause it kept shutting down. after 3rd month, i took it back cause it was running very slow (after spending total of 10 hours on the phone with Apple). after that 6th month i took it back cause it was getting really really hot. And i started to notice the bend. when i put it on the flat floor it wobbles. the wobbling got worst. last sept i took it back cause cd rom sucked in my cd rom and spitted out plastic parts. the wobbling continues. this jan, i took it back begging for them check out my computer and they refused. Call apple, they told me to screw my self. now my PB quits once in a while. The wobbling is alot worst. the cd rom wont take anymore cds anymore.
so i dont get it. why do i have to pay more to fix a computer thats supposed to work?
i had toshiba, panasonic, ibm. and dell. none of them had problems for years.

with apple care they dont ask questions even if you throw it outta the window. and it work for four years. but it sounds like you have mad bad luck with hardware Dinky
A good friend of mine drove over his PB by accident with his Mini Cooper and they handed him a new one without one question..
- MrDinky0
so should i get apple care now and throw it out the window?

Mr. Dinky. You should have gotten an Applecare plan. I wonder if i'd work now. Of course, if your computer fucks up totally you might end up winning. Applecare plan is good.
My transformer burnt and they never asked me a single question. Just shipped me a new one.And oh yes, my GF's powerbook is bending too, or curving. She doesn't know if it's the heat of the battery or not cause her battery is not on 'the list'.
Maybe she could do with an Applecare plan?
- MrDinky0
indeed woof
i will look in to applecare, after i get it, i am gonna throw mine out the window.
unless someone wants to take my evil machine away and give me a nice vaio

You can count on the next bunch of powerbooks being the same.
They dont seem to care and it always comes back to bite them on the ass.
