First job - I left because i got a better deal. Second job, same. Third, I left with a colleague to start my own business. Forth, we sold what we started. Fifth, i was freelance and quit because I had fallen in love with the wrong person. Although it wasn't as much the wrong person as it was sad it wasn't mutual. And here I am today.

I left my last job because everyone there wanted to have sex with me. I can't blame them though because I am dead sexy.

I went through a kind of dark period, probably more of a clinical depression, actually, marked by explosive rages, showing up late, unshaven and unwashed after nights of carousing, smelling of alcohol, and spending hours at my desk stalking people on the web and generally being a very unpleasant fellow

well...my last job was a sales associate at GameStop, which wasn't too bad until corporate started handing down rules that made job satisfaction impossible.
then i got a job offer as a web developer at a well established by small firm. I took it, and ran.

people saying that there's always good things coming after you leave.
was it really the case for you?
Yeah! pay is one of the most common reasons.
We all think that we are worth more, but maybe some are happy with it now.
I'm having kind of the same issue. I like this place, but I think I'm way more worth than how much I'm getting now. I taught myself 3D and used it really well for the last 2 projects. Doesn't it count at all? My boss loves 3D because he used to be 3D guy.

Jox, what happened to Current Concept? Is that the business you sold or was that your freelance name?

When the dot-comes crashed in SF, my company quit with the complimentary happy endings, and well, besides the ping pong and the free soda, that was the only reason I took the gig in the first place...

why did they fire you? and do you agree why they fired you?

I left because I wasn't getting paid, and basically felt stunted in terms of growth as a designer.(because I wasn't getting paid) I feel the need to grow and expand and get better. I don't mind working hard but I'd have to be bouncing off the walls while doing it. There is non of that.

Seriously, how many of you actually think you are getting paid what you are worth?

the owners were insane and created a lot of enemies and competitors while they were at it.
sadly i dont think they realize they "have a list"
all the people who fell into the drama and let themselves get sucked into lies ... if ever a thought of them pops into my head all i can think of is "fucker" or "cunt"
what does not kill you makes you stronger. eventually i found a place -- after much freelancing -- where i could negotiate my own terms and they cared enough to hear me.

I'm gonna stay at my current job until september and then I'm gone!
The artdirector that works here, misses the sense of design and doesn't listen to collegues..
