we got married at the court house.. cost 50 bucks.. then we took all of our friends to an amusment park.. http://www.lakesideamusementpark…
very cool old deco styled park.. rented out the picnic pavillion.. we made cupcakes for everybody ourselves.. fed them and sent them on all the rides they could handle.. no BS.. no chicken dance.. all fun.. everybody said it was the best wedding they have every went too.. gave everybody a camera to take pictures of there time.. it was great.. i think we spent a total of 500 bucks.. i made the invites and sent along a box full of carnival prizes with the invites.. cheap vending machine crap that you can buy in bulk..people spend so much money on weddings.. so dumb.. they always seem to be disappointed.. all my friends were in debt.. then they decide to spend 10 grand on a wedding.. i would rather spend 10 grand on a down payment for a house..

I am getting married in August and we are having the wedding and the reception at the local bowling alley. Suzy had gotten a front desk job there and since I pretty much lived at the bowling alley it went from there.
Anyway, we made our own invitations
Printed them 4 to sheet of cardstock and mailed them out. For 100 invitations it cost about $75 including postage. The reception is going to be a potluck and a friend of mine is going to DJ. Add in some bowling and a bar and it should be a hell of a time.Try not to spend a lot of money. Our first idea was to do the typical fancy wedding, but then we thought better of it? It's all over in a day, but that credit card bill won't.

a good thing about museums is that they usually have a banquet area to have things.

keep it casual... lots of booze... good tunes... in other words just have a big party with you getting married sometime in between doing a keg stand and sparking one up.
