Okay, think it's time for me to put up an online-portfolio. I am a self-thaught flashdesigner and come from a background of shoe(sole)-design and photography (study).
Here's some things that might make it in there but then again, probably won't. Am I too critic about my own work or is it just plain bad? I'm waiting for your honest comments.http://www.interium.be/indexInte…

http://theremedy.be/oneyear/Then there's also the stuff I do profesionally
http://theremedy.be/folio2.pdfWould it fit in with the above mentioned flashworks?
Problem is I can't seem to develop a 'unique' consitent style wich makes it very hard to select projects for a personal portfolio. Would it be wise to put the above flashworks along with let's say... http://theremedy.be/bio
What's your thoughts.
why can't I just be a graphic designer ...

Tweening pixel fonts so they don't blur during animation.

Thanks, but then it looks as if they're walking up/down a stair.

good design but a bit weak on the typography and i dont mean the anti aliased moving pixel fonts by that, matter of alignment and spacing, maybe different type. The changing color combo is ok but i would apply it different (after checking them all i will go with this as the best one)spazio-a
nice and simple but maybe a problem that's more clear here because of the small amount of content is that all the animation is taking up a lot navigation time by fancy animation, and a few parts don't take in mind that some silly people surf of a 24" widescreen, like the models that just pop awayframes
too much animation slow to navigate, pixel, slab serif, sans serif, maybe a bit more consitency on type and sizesroserouge
not a fan of intro animations, the condensed type is hard to read white on blackoneyear
little to talk about but the style is a bit floating in many directions, maybe it's the 3d and round cornersbio
ok but very plane, the other pages seem to make up for that with flash but that's not required, it's a design issue (and i don't mean adding more elements like gradients or icons) the Home page suffers more than the others, because of the lack of space maybe'unique' consitent style is less important than consistent quality, 'unique' style can limit client interest, not everybody can afford that.
currently the flash skills outdo the design's i'm kinda missing innovation and creativty on both sides but i'm spoiled on that area so the average person will not know this
don't take it too harsh, i spent 5 min trying to give critical feedback because i assumed you would prefer that over praise (at least i do)
[i do not like music on sites]

Wow hym, that feedback is more then I could hope for. Thanks for your honesty.
And it's not like I don't see those things (I do) it's more a matter of not being able to lift it up that one bit.
Can one teach himself design I ask now?

its a great thing to ahve different styles and adapt to each situation.
in design, versatility is a good thing to have

(Jun 8 05, 05:05)Oh my. I think jeedoubleu has discovered your blatent stealing of grey backgrounds and white content areas. AND a diagonal line. No supper for you tonight Timson. tsssk.

heh jeedoubleu found one source, it explans some design decisions, you are 'borrowing' without understanding, changing things gets dangerous at that point because you might break it
teach yourself design, SURE if you're a genius and have some natural visual talent, otherwhise you better rely on knowledge that was discovered before, i.e. books or reverse engineer, analyse the things you like to low level and explore what makes you like them and how you can break the design to uncover a set of rules
learning to play a piano is not very incredible, composing a piece is a lot harder if you have are after the same quality of the pieces you used to play and like. Currently you seem to be inbetween, playing with the things you like but having problems when it comes to improvisation.
i think your biggest problems are layout and typography, there are plenty of books on that.
some people stay a player for their entire career some become composers, some compose without being able to play
i'm making little sense today
