the abrupt end of colonization, the lack of any transitional period and the almost geometrical divison of Africa without any respect of the land's history and people are just some of the main causes of present situation.
It's not an option. It's an obligation.

colonial borders are still respected today. absolutely none of those borders were drawn up in regards to tribes/major groups. conflict around most of those borders is/was inevitable.
