ok, I have a Q.
I know 100000s places online that will print online on regular cardstock, glossy, satin, etc..but what if you want some nive matte paper, cardstock as welll, is there a plce online for that that anyone had used before?
thanks!

"its too plain ,
add a bevel+dropshadow
or something.ingolfr "
yeah or maybe a lens flare
- honest0
is the: "Hi, I'm" really necessary?
- vb_0
make the text bigger, that shit will be completely illegible when printed out.
if a potential client wants to call you he want to be able to read it without a microscope. or else he thinks you failed as a designer.
smaller is not always more pleasing.

Make it POP
- luo0
i like it anyways! but ya just mayb the txt a bit bigger. like your colour scheme+d crest 2

I like the logo the way it was. the licking lions are dope. gives it a 'crest' feel. Without the lions, it looks.... boring.
type may or may not need to be bigger. that's definately an issue you can solve by printing it out.
my main crit is-
I've seen literally thousands of cards that look just like yours. flat, strong color with small white logo on one side. small type on the other.
it's pedestrian. it looks like the first card you've ever done.
get a business card book and go back to the drawing board. what you have is nice, but won't do anything for you.

10.2, you think so ? I know I have seen quite a few with the same feel. Although I like the feel, I would like to make this one count.
I mean, I have this really ambitious idea for the resume / preview of some new work, I would really like it to add to it, not take anything away.
oh yeah, and honest, I really like the "Hi, I'm" part !

Brains-
don't get me wrong, it's not like I think your card is bad- quite the opposite. It's just that I think your card might get lost or considered trendy. But, personality always trumps trend in my book. I think a business card should be infused with personality.
Think of it as a first impression, you know? You can really make someone go "Whoa, that's cool" and stick it in their wallet to call you later or go "Oh thanks" and stuff it in their pocket only to lose it later.

I dig ya.
I admit this one was a rusher too. just like my temp portfolio. I feel really stagnant as far as design goes. Apart from the odd freelance job I get, I haven't been going anywhere. I want to secure a new job, somewhere, considering alot the of the graphic design firms here probably still use clip art, I wasn't as picky. I should pace myself somewhat. I'm really tired of pumping gas though. I mean, really tired.

Jesus man, if I saw this card I would bin it straight away. Why the fuck is the type that small?
Your thinking way too much about how "cool" it looks, you HAVE to think about the function of what you are designing.
I like the colours and the crest is good too just bring the text up in size. If not just wack a paint drip in there.
p.s why are the lions licking the B?
Just curious
- brains0
lions like me. one time I spread peanut butter all over my balls, and..
they are supposed to forming the b. but it does look like they are licking it. work needs to be done. plain and simple.
