thank you mayo... that's useful info. i don't want it to be cumbersome... but i do want it to be thorough.

i dated a guy who bought one of those huge ones (like 3 feet x 4 feet) and lugged that around. Needless to say, he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Gorbie, I'm a psycho, but I'm not an idiot, there's a big difference.

good luck

one nice but heavy method is a case portfolio filled with mounted pieces. Each piece is double layered square of solid black artboard. The top layer has a hole cut in it the size of your piece and there is a ribbon under the piece to lift it out of the hole. But that may be an archaic presentation in this day and age--I don't know. I always just tell people to go to our website. Whcih may be why I never get any jobs.
- Gorbie0
is that like a premade piece or is something you would construct?
i'm having a little difficulty imagining what it looks like...
- Rand0
you construct it. You buy a box of solid black artboard, cut a bunch of pieces to the size of your portfolio case, then sandwich pairs of them together. The top piece of each sandwiched pair has a hole the size of your peice, so that your piece is recessed in it. It makes everything look solid and pristine
- Rand0
that probably makes it harder to imagine
- Gorbie0
do you glue around the edges to hold the artboard together?
- Rand0
yes
- Rand0
your porftolio ends up heavier than a dwarf nova star, though
- tehgee0
hey gorbie im not reading all this but good luck!!!!!
- Gorbie0
that is dense....
not your idea... i mean the dwarf nova star. (was there a pun in the "nova" word?)--
do you use spray glue? if so... how did you keep if from spraying into the removeable art area? do you mask it with something else?
i'm asking cause this method sounds interesting.
- Gorbie0
thanks gee...
how are you feeling?
hope everthing went okay.
- Rand0
I think I sprayed the back of the half with the hole in it only... you can spray the bottom one around the outer edges additionally
- Gorbie0
duh...
that makes perfect sense.thanks for your help!
saison duponts on me!!

I went to an interview last week at a company that ask me to come in. I like the company alot and sure didn't fail to mention it to them. They also liked my shit and im going again on wedensday to see if we are gonna hook up or not. ..
As for portfoilo size, i went with loose no border prints with a little cut, and holding it together with a nice big white rubberband when closed, they still have it so i cant show you, but i have another simular thing i made some years ago.. feel free to borrow steal and copy if you like
