vb_ why not make a pdf out of it? If it's an .eps you can import it in indesign and distill directly as PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-1. Always works and almost every printer can handle this format nowadays. I bet this pdf won't be 728,3 mb.
Stuffing is also possible, but why stuff if you can PDF output it? Let me know how this progresses.

i will try that, pulsar_nl. thx.
i have seen that you can choose both zip and jpg compression on the images in the pdf, the format is getting better and better..
i got a big warning from another printer yesterday to never export PDF's from Illustrator as that is a real pain in the arse for printers, while the same PDF rendered in Indesign is completely acceptable.. weird huh?

Never export within illustrator. Always import in Indesign and then export to PDF. Or make a Postscript file out of it, and then Distill in Arobat Distiller. (but you need acrobat joboptions from the printer). Plus a color profile of the country where it has been send to.
Europe's colorprofile is ISO or regular EUROSCALE (coated/uncoated).
But best thing is to import the EPS in Indesign and export it with the PDF/X-3 preset, When you export you get a few info's :
Set under General-tab, compatibilty to "ACROBAT 5 - 1.4". Compression to JPEG or automatic. Marks & Bleeds, put an (x) to "Cropmarks" define your bleed in mm. Leave the rest like this. Press Export, et Voila! A compressed and smalled highres PDF file.Hope this works for you V! Let me know... thx.
