(sorry - I'm just a student. but...)
If I have a "brand" of sorts - basically, a name, a logo and a tagline for an online venture...
How do I get all of that copyrighted (or trademarked, or registered or whatever I need to do) ??
Has anyone had to do this??

No but seriously - I did check the copyright site ...
I'm just not sure of how to work out registering the logo and name and slogan and everything together - or if that's the right place or what.

After much soul searching - apparently you don't copyright brand names, logos or slogans ... you trademark them, which is different...
Is that so?

I was just reviewing the trademark product/service classification list. But at $325 a pop, I guess I'm just going to be offering my clients sweater-knitting.
WHY is it so expensive? That's stupid. But then...I kind of wish domains were that way. Less squatters.
