the tree is because the particular construction company deals with craftsman style houses and that type of tree is a design element used in lots of architectural details for that type of house.
if you are into craftsman style yo will recognize the tree, that's the idea...

i learned framing and finish trim carpentry from my father, no trees in those lessons but i know its a sin to paint a wood surface instead of stain it
