actually mimio is right, there is no hard proof. the reason is that time is the enemy to the theory of evolution- it can't really be tested.

evolution
darwin
galopagos islandsthe only thing keeping anyone from understanding evolution is the lack of education
birds adapted to thier particular island by changing colors and beak structures, etc
my faith lies in that not a fairy tale

Version - I am not anti-bible, anti-christian or anti-religion. It has it's place in all things human.
But the whole creationism, "american christian sect" stuff is fascist, not religious or spiritual.

True, uber. Evolution is neither observable or falsifiable so, technically, it can't even qualify as a theory.
version3 you and Tick simply try to indimidate into silence those who hold a different viewpoint. Notice that you don't counter any of the evidence or facts I cite. Why? Because you can't. So, you resort to all manner of fanciful notions along with insult slinging. Doesn't do much for your position (whatever that may be). This is how you derail these discussions.

God hid his existence on purpose because he knew it would lead to crap if people found out who the big pervert voyeur was.
- discipler0
There again, falsehood and caricatures.
version3 do you know anything about phenotypikal expression? Do you know any of the facts behind why there has never been a beneficial mutation in a species? Creation scientists are pointing out that brand new specifically complex genetic information cannot be generated by random processes. In other words, information that codes for the beak of a bird cannot be generated randomly. However, genetic variation in beak shapes can be caused by random mutation, as the genome is breaking down and causing variability within the genome. Notice, you do not get new features (like beaks on an organism that never had a beak) by genetic mutations, but you can get variation of the beak by mutations that alter (i.e., destroy) existing beak information. Genetic material increase (making copies of the same genetic info.) won't help either, because this is not brand new specifically complex genetic information! It is the same stuff, but has been duplicated!

Dude, there is NO scientific basis to derail your claim because it's not science.
I am not insulting you at all, nor have I. I made a few good natured ribs, but if you take those to heart then you have a big problem. This is the internet. Welcome..
Again, Science is about disproving something - i.e. coming up with all the ways a hypothisis can be wrong. That IS science. That is the process of science. You have conveniently (and wisely) avoided my criticism on this point.
And if creationism REALLY was a science it would be trying to prove God's probabilty by disproving him.

hym is onto something there

where do you get your bullshit?
no beneficial changes????
buy a book written by darwin and masturbate iver it like you do the bible
adaptation is mutation is evolution
you suck more than god discipler
i hope your god prevents you from procreating

Tick, as i've stated ad-nauseum, Intelligent Design and Creationism is not about illegitimately imposing the dictates of faith upon science, but about raising rational objections to proposed Darwinian explanations of the biological world. Forget about the faith aspect and simply look at science. Science has "evolved" since Darwin. We must evolve with it. There is hard scientific evidence to suggest that the Darwinian model is wrong. I've given just a few of MANY examples of this. But philosophical considerations - not facts, not science - prevent this from being accepted by evolutionists.
And you set up a straw man argument with your what "science REALLY" is reasoning. Darwinism begins with a naturalistic world view, Creationism begins with a Theistic world view. It's about foundations.

I love science. It's our way of figuring and taking apart the world around us. Eventually we'll get it.
But as far as the origin of the universe and life...well science is still trying to understand it on it's own terms. While the bible gives a clear answer and eventually science will get to the answer too. It reminds me of the whole earth is round thing. Even the Catholic(?) religion believed that and that the universe revolved around the earth. The whole time the answer was under there noses! In Psalms(?), if I remember correctly is talks about the earth being a sphere suspended by nothing. That was enough back then. But as humans started asking more and more questions that simple answer did not satisfy. So years go by and finally science figures it out on it's own. Science figures out the world is round and not teh center of the universe and the whole time God had given an answer. Just food for thought.

congrats, version3... first person on my ignore list.
I just can't tolerate the intolerance. :)
- brandelec0
what do you think of that article discipler?
- discipler0
brandelec, he's essentially expressing a Theistic Evolutionary belief. Nothing new. Not surprised, since I believe the Catholic church is frightfully wrong on other key issues.
I'm not Catholic nor do I believe that Catholicism represents the Bible or Christianity.

Definitely leaving now... later on, friends.

it seems to me discipler is aware he has no original ideas of his own
