whenever i open a file in photoshop, before it opens, I get this dialog box that says, "the RGB (file name) does not have an embedded color profile". Then it offers a few choices as to what I want to do with it. How do I get rid of this box, and have photoshop regular again. I remember when it never asked that Q.. Anyone know what to do?
Thanks!

i think it has to do with your settings upon saving the image

what are your choices?

under the main Photoshop menu/ Color Settings/ Color Management Policies (Advanced Mode).
Those warning are a good thing though, i wouldn't disable.. you should always be aware of whatever profiles you are dealing with.

it says I have a "missing profile" though.
the choices I get are
how do you want to proceed?
leave as is (don't color manage)
Assign working RGB: Adobe RGB (1998)
Assign profile (followed by a drop down menu)
I don't even really know what all this is for, all I know is it just started appearing.

is there a default choice I should stick with?

profiles can make or break color accuracy in print jobs.
i've read the best general setting is US PrePress Defaults.. regardless of your work being print or web.
if you don't want the window when you open every image, select US Prepress and then uncheck the 3 "ask when" options under Color Mang Policies.
