Well - sorry about the mess... there's not much you can do.
My advice - be careful with those types of printers. The specialize in getting things out the door fast and always mess something up. Also - any printer that doesn't do a physical purchase order with all the details, run.
Also - when crappy printers mess up - they blame the designer when they can.
You should use a printer where you at least get a proof and a presscheck, but those printers cost more money usually.
But it sounds like this one was a total waste of money.
I'd let it go. Knowledge is expensive and you can chalk that up to experience.

bricks through windows!

If you paid by credit card, you can do a chargeback. With the contract and proof of poor printing, you should easily win your claim.

Yeah, cancel the credit card payment.

Just look at the first responses from the company: "If you a round corning the cards" and "bindery charge" wtf is 'bindering?' She also mentions 'we use 12pt coated'... whatever that is... Rounded corners aside dude, you didn't get what you ordered so take a smudged sample in and make them reprint the cards without rounding the corners. Then go in and pick them up and as you leave tell them you're getting the corners cut by your 5y.o. sister this time, as she'll do a more acceptable job.

hey,
make sure you email rather than phone them, and CC someone else on it to scare them. it could be your ma, but they wont know. Then you have documented responses.
Also, we should all send in quote request asking for exactly the job you got and ask have they any customer testimonials...? let them know that word gets out when you fuck with people.
I think this is completely unacceptable and especially seeing as you are a little inexperienced. They should have been more attentive rather than less. Let me know if you want to start cramming their inbox with (calm, considered) emails referring to your treatment and their loss of future business. even though i live on a different contenent...
Jah Bless!

First of all, they f*cked you dude. That email chain states and confirms like four times that you're getting die cut service.
I would walk into their office and speak with them directly--they can't ignore you, and so long as you keep your cool, they can't forcibly remove you.
Show them the email chain and show them the smudges you don't like. Be mature and straight up and ask them for an alternate solution.

and then paper cut their throats. muwahahahaha!
