Ah. No, it was Jesus. Cool guy. He had to run quick though - said he had to get to some underpass somewhere...

Lot's of people believe they have the truth. Doesn't mean they do. Doesn't mean truth is relative either.
Beliefs have consequences, both here and in eternity. The challenge to us is to look at what has been revealed in history and get reliable information. Then we are decide what we will do with that information.

hey Tick,,, that was probably William Defoe

"Truth? What is truth?"
The truest words in the Bible.
Who'se Truth D? Your truth? My truth?
You willing to go to war over your truth?
Lots of young men fighting and dying over the Truth of Allah or the Truth of Jehovah right now. Which one of those is the absolute and undeniable truth, my brother?
Can't argue with the truth of a bullet through the brain, but the words written in a two thousand year old book ain't the Truth, although they can have soem wisdom.
I'm done with this. Find Jesus? I found him a long time ago. We had a cup of coffee, rapped about the way things are. He bought me a danish. Nice guy. Hope he's doing well these days...

Tick and opiate, nobody is getting in anybody's business. As i've said a million times, I'm responding directly to questions and objections. It's called healthy debate. :) You just don't like the viewpoint I'm sharing.
Tick, my answer to your question is "yes". Without Jesus, yes a system of morality can exist. But, not apart from the recognition of an absolute standard for morality with which to measure against. Truth is exclusive and absolute by definition. Point out to anyone who says otherwise that they are making an absolute statement about their position. ;)

I drive an SUv. A small one though. There is no yellow ribbon magnet on it though. I support those ever-lovin' bad ass american boys over there, but I despise the idiots that sent them there.
- TheTick0
And I meant, if not, than why not?
- discipler0
version3,
my point is that not all followers of Jesus are SUV driving, suburbanite, soccer moms. There are all kinds in all cultures.
- TheTick0
D-man,
In all seriousness - a question for you. Forget all the monkey crap and who saw who rise form what cave...
Can a system of ethical and moral justice exist in the world that doesn't rely on faith in Jesus? And if so, why not?
- TheTick0
Fine, fine..believe what you want D man. Just keep your Jesus off my lawn.
Why must people of your ilk get in everybodies business? Why? Really. Silly silly little man.

Here comes the God Police to preach values and tell us how we should live.

mrdobolina, someone seeing Mary in a meatloaf is not in the same realm as a historical event, documented in thousands of harmonizing manuscripts, testified by hundreds of eye-witnesses, that split history and continues to send forth shockwaves and transform lives.
