"Now as we fly down over fife we can see that it is still a total shit hole. And its raining".

" Here you have to relearn everything, and you've got to think - what's the point?"
Ouch.
One of Jakob Nielsen's disciples, are we? :)

(May 17 05, 06:57)that was though :)

I admit it's all very bold, and to be honest if you don't watch it to gain any info, then watching all the different rain and stuff moving around, even outside the UK... It all looks quite mesmerizing...

Not totally...
But really if it's confusing people, what is the point?
- wrongtest0
Kelpie... I gets you now! ;)
- wrongtest0
Fair play to the BBC though, publishing that page with a tonne of criticism...
Oh, and I do HATE the general British attitude of being cynical about anything innovative... We are so uncreative and pessmistic.
But here, I think they have a point.
- Nairn0
If it continues to confuse people indefinitely, then yes - 'what is the point', indeed?
That said, it's been on for a day and a half now - we should really give it a little time, non?

Haven't seen them yet, but as with ALL of the BBC's output I'm sure Vespa did a great job of it.
Anyone else loving Dr Who too?
I think it's your bestest work Vespa, well done!!
;)
- wrongtest0
True, we should give it new time... And the BBC usually get it right... I remember my graphics tutor saying that you shouldn't put bright colour like red as a background on screen...
The BBC use that bright deep red, with a light white sans serif and somehow it works!
The election graphics were a catastrophe though.

(May 17 05, 07:03)I prefer her definitive history of soul. But Dr Who is good too. And she finds time to post here.

All that business with Dr Kelly and the Iraq dossiers really put me off Vespa's output. Bad move girl. On the upside I have nothing but admiration for Dick and Dom in da bungalow...

And she finds time to post here.

Vespa, any idea how the BBC went about testing it...
I'd be really surprised if proper testing with older people, people with visual impairments etc didn't reveal a negative effect from this new presentation.
I just can't imagine it.

Also, hats off to her for bringing some quality programming with her. Not only neighbours but also Kath and Kim, some of her best work to date. Hurrah

Anybody watch Kath and Kim by the way?. Very funny. Not much advertising from the bbc.
