I like sans serif better. Easy to read. Plus, I'm not a big fan of Georgia, there's much better serifs to choose from. I had a professor that told us, IN GENERAL, stay away from typefaces named after cities and states. Anyone else?

Definitely A. And try adding a dark grey stroke on the left and right of the white area.

B / starting again would waist time, and time is money, he will like B and you can move on.

i looked at this lastnight and couldnt quite put my finger on what was wrong. now i see it's that huge banner you have on every page. perhaps it's too square, maybe thin it down and put some rounded corners on it? or maybe make one of the corners look like pages.
it's bothering me.

Two things.
It's looking really blah so put in some details. Maybe some small faint white lines along your side borders going up and down. Some icon(?) or line underneath your navi button/words.
Second the banner is way too big. It's stands out and is not very useful. Reduce the size and put some text like a header in it? Also I noticed that the shade from the side borders are not on the banner either. Apply the shadow and it will look like it belongs there.
The little details my friend. The details.
