I like 'B'

What about trying Georgia instead of Arial for the body?
Just a thought ..

why is there no hint of comic sans or lens flares? surely the content is prime for it?!?
btw: have you read any of the books?

i like the image used in A.3., and i agree on the georgia recommendation.

I like B as well, the added dimension goes a long way; very classy.
- kbags0
fate, agreed.

Like the serif type although I think it could be a shade lighter. It contrasts a bit too much IMO.

agreed - thanks marvyn

Sans-Serif copy typeface looks best. The C series is just a bit annoying to read.
- kbags0
Yes, a bit lighter and a size or two larger for sure. It's rather hard to read and will be even more so at a lighter shade.

mix A and D, and you have my fav. I dont dig the edges in B,C, D.
Nice clean design!

'D' is looking good ;)
The large 'Chris Wooding' in the biog section seems to break the layout ..
The headings above the copy -- 'ABOUT THE AUTHOR', 'LATEST BOOK RELEASES' etc. could be treated a little differently perhaps?
hmm .. maybe not in all-caps? Different typeface perhaps?
- jevad0
yeah the georgia throws the headings off...need to work on those a bit more

I like but thing the background needs something, doesnt have to be a wallpaper tile of anything, maybe the subtlist of gradients?
- kbags0
I dunno, maybe the serif font is what's messing it up, but the cleanliness of the design is falling by the wayside...and I think cleanliness has always been one of your strengths jevad.
So I guess it comes down to what you like, but the more I look at it, the more I like it the way it used to be?
sorry for being wishy-washy there...
