i went out with this girl once, we went skating. it was snowing, it made us wet. she took me back to her condo and stuck my pants in the dryer for me. and then made a pass at me. make it something where a short time in each other's company can be a reasonable thing (and you don't have to do the cell phone-emergency crap) like lunch hour. At worse, you have a yucky hour as opposed to a full evening of yuckiness if you go out on an evening date.
