Saw them last night in Denver - they sold out a 2,500 capacity venue.
Esily the WORST band I have ever seen live. god...wake me up when it's over .zzzzzzzzz
Guy could hardly sing in tune..might as well have been 4 muppets up there they were that charismatic...

hmm, that sucks... i'm not completely sold on teh Shins yet.

that's generally the case with those bands, well most bands. so synthetic it's sick. all studio produced and such. not a bad band on record though

they were ok until garden state whored them out to natalie portman-lovin' teenie boppers everywhere...

I get the impression they would have been better in a 2-300 capacity venue
Or maybe it's because I saw Kings of Leon last week and they totally blew me away
- snuggles0
doesn't surprise me..

yeah they are way overrated AND they are brought to you by subpop.
remember when subpop was a good label?

I just saw em live in Milwaukee like a month ago... they were really lively and played a great set... they must be wore out now.

i prefered them when they were a stooges cover band doing note for note imitations of raw power
- ricstultz0
cant beat Raw Power.
- snuggles0
subpop was a killer label, you got any Hazel robo??
- spiralstarez0
not surprising...
Similar genre: I saw Pinback in Vancouver and although I was totally into the album, they were easily the worst live show I've ever seen.
To the point I can't listen to their recorded anymore either.
SHAM!

i saw the shins when they first began touring and became an immediate fan
had a feeling they had gotten more commercial and skipped this as well as their previous tour
also saw kings of leon but i was too drunk to judge that one

i saw them a year or so ago and it was nothing but good times. they had tons of energy.
i agree.. prolly burnout. blame it on Garden State.. and McDonalds... err.... and The GAP.
guess they have themselves to blame really. James Mercer is hugely talented though... listen carefully to his music and I challenge any claims of "hype".

Pinback is playing in Denton, TX Friday. Some dude named jevad posted an mp3 a while back which got me hooked.
The show better be good, else it's off with jevad's head!!
Teh Ninjaws got my back!

i haven't seen them live in years, but i remember their show being great. maybe getting tired?

they totally changed my life man.

I just saw them [the shins] a few weeks ago. I thought they put on a good show. Not great, but certainly not bad.

Their music doesn't age well either. All I hear now is depressed garage wanna-be Beach Boys
