anyone got a good online tutorial for latest quark?

what is Quark ? oh yeh that outdated, overpriced, extension requiring piece of ...
I would go for Indesign obviously but Latest Quark should have a What's New section in the manual telling you, what the new features are and where you can find them, no tutorial required.

Hym - Couldn't agree more...
Adobe do 5 products for the price of Quark. It's funny how a lot of designers/printers buy the stuff with an aim of staying 'compatable' - PDF - Duh!!
It'll be even better soon as Adobe have now 'aquired' Macromedia.

stem, you're missing the point, the whole industry has been based on quark, xpress used to be the only option for a really long time, hence it's so tied in to everything. you can't change that overnight you know, it's a whole slow process where we will get in the end but don't expect it to go fast. totally agree on the overpriced bit though. and regarding cs, as far as i understood one can only open for instance in illustrator cs document in illustrator cs and not in illy 10 for which imho is totally bollocks, adobe forces the industry to buy cs which is as bad as what xpress does.

(May 10 05, 02:02)you can save to Illustrator ai legacy format in modern Illustrator versions, which goes as early as illustrator 3 for compatibility, many programs do ignore this sort of issues but Adobe took the effort so i like to clear that up
3d apps in general are the worst offenders on file compatibility between versions, but those environments are far more complex
