With Teeth grew on me. So what if it doesn't have the previous albums' depth? Finally a NIN record I don't need a special mood to listen to. I just press play and can start my day listening to this powerful and surprisingly positive music. Whether a good NIN release or no, it's the best rock album I've heard in months and can't get bored with.
Two remarks:
1. "everyday.." is the only shitty song. It doesn't grow on me, probably cause it's crap.
2. I'm allergic to the beatles, they were the new kids on the block of their times.

man the beatles did more gear than your average south american country!
still, i hate the whole drugs = creativity argument. it's bullshit and a total crutch for a million stoners and wasters under the illusion they're creative. it's more like a million peeps want to get loaded the whole time and kid themselves that it's their inspiration. take drugs, enjoy em just put the fucking canvas away for a while huh?
be that as it may, the whole other side like "rock against drugs" is total horsepiss. drugs have influenced many great artists (and a whole heap more shit ones).
i just think it is possible to be creative and clean and dry.

Sure it is...
part of the problem is that you don't want to be associated with anti-drug campaigns because they are so damn corny.
I mean there is peer presure on kids not ot look like some herb from an anti-drug commercial... in alot of ways, the good they are trying to do can be equally damaging.
And for artists not n drugs... they can be just as if not more talented i don't buy the need for drugs. In some cases drugs may work as a catalyst and what not... in others they might make the creativite output more potent, but it has to be there in the first place.
Looking at legends that pushed insane output before letting drugs do them in (Hendrix, Morrison, Basquiat, Cobaine to name a few and not the ones that slip under the radar) u have to almost wonder what thier art/music would have been like without it.

anyone else have this album on vinyl?... I just picked it up, it comes with a new song stuck on the 2nd LP titled "Home"... its really great, almost the best thing on the album.
... I love how he didnt stick the additional song on the end of the album... he kinda sneaks it in the middle. Very class.
- blaw0
you should definately hook us up with that.
please and thank you.

the album has finally grown on me also.
- ricstultz0

- blaw0

snuggles pulls off that vinyl rip stuff for fmt, but i have no idea how much effort goes into that or even how it's done.
i'll keep an eye out for an mp3. thanks for the heads up.

NIN Pull Out of MTV Movie Awards
This just in: Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor does not support George W. Bush or his, like, total bullshit war!!!!!
Yup, Reznor and company, who are still doing a big ol' victory lap around the U.S. in celebration of their surprisingly splendid comeback record With Teeth, recently backed out of a slotted MTV Movie Awards Performance after the network expressed hesitation about their proposed live-show backdrop, a picture of our current President.
"We were set to perform 'The Hand That Feeds' with an unmolested, straightforward image of George W. Bush as the backdrop," Reznor told fans via the band's website. "Apparently the image of our President is as offensive to MTV as it is to me." Take that, suits!
So, now we got MTV runnin' around doing damage control and making sterile statements like this: "While we respect Nine Inch Nails' point of view, we were uncomfortable with their performance being built around a partisan political statement. When we discussed our discomfort with the band, their choice was to unfortunately pull out of the Movie Awards."
But, this is showbiz, so as one band pulls out, another'll pull in. We are assured that the Foo Fighters-- who will hopefully perform in front of a huge picture of John Kerry-- are now slated to fill the void left by the commies in Nine Inch Nails, who have been detained for question by the U.S. government.
After they're untied and allowed to put their clothes back on, the Nails will be hitting the road all over again, this time with Interscope buddies Queens of the Stone Age. Unfortunately, that was all we had to work with at press time, but the band's website does estimate a mid-September jump off for the tour and promises a full itinerary soon.

This thread must die.

Trents gonna get some money back from his scumbag accountant. He needs to take a baseball bat to his head, after he gets the cash.
- randoman0
why would I steal your ideas when kitty litter is a dollar a pound?

Good now he can go back and make a better album.
- version30
listen to it again and stop comparing it to the radio crap that you 're becoming convinced is good by repitition
- arinya0
wtf? I don't listen to the radio... With Teeth musically sucked. I liked it at first but got bored of it in a week.
