I think macs are cool, my point is that my pc worked more efficiently. =)

pcs are good for some ppl
macs are good for some ppllet that be

ArtDirector arent you confusing the machine with the OS? For as far as i can tell the G5 architecture is more efficient than the average pc cpu but they have IBM to thank for that

look, mac and browsers and mac and flash, no matter what os, classic or x, it always has been and prolly will be an issue. no idea why but it's just a fact. will it change? i definitely hope so! what can you do till then? flip between browsers, there are 4 major ones to pick from, safari, ff, ie and ns. use 'em all.
- skelly0
it's a firefox issue
- scarabin0
frefox is fucking horrible on mac
it's an upgrade for pc users but a downgrade for mac users
seriously, use safari
- tomkat0
don't forget opera
my PB667 handles flash ok on safari - slow but no crashes.
you must suck at teh interweb, artdirector

Macs help people feel more fashionable, and therefore more creative. They tend to be slower than pcs and are poorly supported by companies like Macromedia.

just a random tip, it wont help your flash tho. But in some memory situations the single 1GB ram will outperform the 1GB+256MB. Its hard to explain without getting technical but see it as a guy getting water from one place to another, he can run faster with 1 big bucket
in a similar way a single 1GB dimm will easily kick butt of 4x256MB

boh fast cpus, just depends software thats built for it

It is definitely the flash player which has been said, it is quite frustrating seeing flash lag animations etc on a mac. You will be happy to know that macromedia err adobe whatever, plans to improve the plugin for mac as they improived the rendering engine significantly, and they implemented an option to flash 8 where vectors can be treated as raster images while they are being animated and back to vector after. At Flash In The Can they showed comparisons and the new player looks awesome.

8ball is meant to be 10 times quicker.. cant wait.

Line me up with a AMD 64-bit, Dual-processor Opteron with 4 gigs of ram. This will keep up with a MAC graphically and still have the abilities to use a lot of software on a pc...
I prefer to be the black sheep... works for me....

I'm not going to come into this thread and say something like "everyone is always saying how mac's rule and Firefox rules yet here's another example of someone who is having issues viewing websites."
I'm also not going to say that "I never have any problems with my Dell PC and IE 6.0. I surf just fine. I do however have problems viewing .mpg's with WMP 10 so if anyone knows a fix for that then let me know."
