too many variations, three max should have been presented (as the best solutions). Drop shadows for a logo is....not good. Some of the logo's looked like they were following a style rather than being designed.

Your probably right, I could do better, not making excuses but I work on them only over the weekend. Ok, maybe it is an excuse.

Thanks for the comments and advice, I initially presented two logo's along with reasons for choosing the style, which I thought backed up the brief, taking a look at one of their other logos (http://www.flashtext.co.uk/form... I'm kinda thinking that they might want to go with their previous designer.
No problem I suppose, just need to forget about it and move on.

For a start all your variations should be different. Dont put one in thats the same but with a drop shadow.
If you show 3 distinct styles the client can then say wich direction they would like to go in insted of not liking them because they are all the same.
