What strikes me as odd, and his work is no better and no worse than others, but it's all pitch work.
That says to me that he has no real experience taking a project from pitch to completion.

im not a big fan of David Carsons work also, but i do respect what he did by doing what he like and put it on client work. and not be a slave of popular trand. he took the risk.

just for the record didn't mean to open a can of worms on carson, we could have a whole thread on him in fact I am sure there are a few, just used him as a personal example. But I understand peoples respect for him, thats cool.
I am a little confused about kezz_2's point about the pitch work? I might be misunderstanding that but you mean like there are not alot of applications of the indenties for example?

I just look at people with all pitch work and no actual live work that was taken from pitching > concepting > client meetings > to build as trying to cover up his lack of experience
Clever of him to hide the fact that it was pitch work.
"inspiration" it isn't. Solid portfolio of a junior/midweight designer it is.

Yeah I like it. I think there really simple/elegant solutions and great to check out before working on your next project.

they also do way better work than S.Dallyn.I guess if you are friends with the editors then you'll get posted.

also what role did he take in those projects? He could have just created the different pages from someone else's concept.

I really think Jens Nilsson demonstrates far more ability with regards to development of creativity as well as the project execution. This kid is good.
I also agree that Arnaud Mercier pushes creativity and design a bit further than Mr. Dallyn.
And, AGAIN, with that said, S. Dallyn's port isn't bad to any extent, but I would not call it inspirational either.

he's done some great work and is a pretty nice guy [well I only met him twice] but anyhow, I still see what you're saying setsolid..

The ID work is clean, simple and bold. The client list does not mean shit to me. I'm looking for visual stimulation and this guy definitely got my attention for skills with type.
