eeuw vuarnet yes, I always imagined chicks in vuarnet shades were french and had crazy skills.
I remeber being in toronto in about 1990 and yonge street was just stalls of fake vuarnet everywhere.. I stuck with fake vision street wear and sold them off when I got home. apparently all the print fell off when they washed them hahah.

i recently bought some shoes that i like.. this particular brand is called "kickers".. i thought that's a funny name for shoes..
i never look at the brand..
which resulted in wearing many obscure brands like SAO, KICKERS etc..
fine shoes nonetheless.

kickers were huge for about a year when I was at school, everyone would wear them and leave the big red tag hanging off the laces, all the girls would rock the colourful ones with their white stockings.. and then wallabees came along and kicked them to the curb.

ps. dobs: the SAO was almost a ripoff of some other more popular brand (forgot the name now) but the leather was much more refined, it actually looked better then the one made by the more popular brand..

i used to have LA Gear high tops that had three different laces in them and they were sparkly black and white. i wore them with two pairs of different colored slouch socks over spandex pants. so cool.

ps there's no red label or whatsoever on my KICKERS, however it does say "made in portugal"..

damn, they used to have these big red leather tags hanging from the laces janne.
remember that story about the burglar who got arrested when escaping from a house, he ran up some dark alley to hide but the cops spotted him in the blackness because he was wearing those LA Gear with the flashing airbags hahahaha!!
