that site was outstanding!

awesome!
i have been thinking (coincidentally..or not...) of doing such a thing on my site..
the whole clicking thing is really a major cause in mouse related rsi i think..
it's usually my click finger that feels a bit painful every now and then..
- lvl_130
nice site. love it!

what's really smart and vital (i saw this on the yamaha site) is that there's some timer on the rollovers, so that if you rollover the other buttons quickly to go to another it doesn't activate them until you stay on the button for like more then a second or so..
really nice.

not sure if it works so well on the yamaha site, i seem to have trouble controlling what i open.
i like the idea of have a timer on mouseover.

for about the last 3 months my index finger on my 'click' hand has been bothering me at the knuckle at the base. i have to pop it 2 or 3 times a day or else a shitload of pressure builds up and i hurts sumthin fierce.i started to use my middlefinger to click on the mouse. fuckin b.s. i'm only 30 for god's sake.
i blame the stupid soapdish apple mouse for starting the ball rolling with the pain.

i'm using my middle finger too. i cut the tip of my index finger off last week with an xacto. i know, but i was in a rush. it's very awkward to click now.

werd kOna.. in the worst occasions the pain spreads to the rest of your hand (more on the "back" of it) and then to your arm and shoulder.. this is typical to RSI, the pain can spread to half your body.. i had that once.. it's terrible and not good..
sometimes i use my left hand for my mouse.. it's ok for browsing.. not for working though..
- todelete__20
i use my left hand when i whack it.
no what i mean?

kOna an Janne: get a Wacom-tablet, it helped cure my exact same problem (Apple mouse), that with laying down flat on the floor now and then (www.alexandertechnique.com)
I am completely painless since a year now.
Cheers!

Amazing sites. I like the timer idea as well. Gives you back the control the "click" does. To the mouse related issues and the pain. About 4 years ago I swtiched over to the Wacom tablet. I haven't had one ounce of pain since. The mouse sucks, so unnatural.

Ha. fues beat me to that point.

Hehe d5ive, I'd like to have that new black Intuos, first Wacom product design I dig actually.. grrrrr.. Intuos... grrr

It will be interesting to see how this will be integrated into content-driven sites and software. (sorry about the square vernacular)

i really enjoy the no-click navigation... it definitely has its limits, but it makes navigating a website seem really fluid.
- vburo0
interesting fues.
but that alexander technique site is a pain in the ass to be honest.
can't he be more to the point?
there's like 30 pages talking ABOUT the greatness of it, the pros and cons.. where's the technique fer chris sake??
my eyes have rsi as well sometimes you know..
grr...
thx nonetheless.
but i hate sites that don't get to the point like that one..
