also, in dutch it's common to "doe maar gewoon dat is al gek genoeg" roughly: act normal which is already funny enough. of "hoge bomen vangen veel wind" roughly: high trees catch a lot of wind. there are more sayings with the same implications: dutch mediocrity. for the dutchies: nu geen spijkers op laag water zoeken. je weet wat ik bedoel.
