here is a label that goes on a small wooden crate, that holds fruit snacks that have the same nutrition as a piece of fruit (fictional product).
i came up with the name and the package design. constructive criticism, please.
the rotated portion of the label goes over the edge of the crate thus sealing it from any predator.

definately looks like something you would find in a health food store!

that whole right side is to jammed up. either take the copy down a point or 2, or cut some of it. also the ragging is bad and there are some large gaps in the word spacing. that little leaf should either be screened back, moved left so it doesn't break the first 2 lines of the paragraph.
as for the left, instead of just the black outlines, fill them in, maybe even change it to a subtle shadow. i'd thing about dropping the whole label b/g into photoshop and adding a gradient mask to soften it up and give it some wear and tear.
also the callout on the front about nutrition is way too small. that's a selling point and i'd think about giving that some prominence or even a hand lettered feel. ditto for the logo, change the type to somthing a bit simpler like futura condensed or din and open up the letter spacing a bit.
just my 2¢.

thanks, diggity.
most of the type treatment i did after researching fruit crates and their labels. i do like your idea of bringing the bg into photoshop though, perhaps i will play around with that
i agree with the text on the fold down, it needs to be refined more.
