holy fuck my pb wont boot. goes to a gray screen and that's it. FUCK FUCK FUCK?!
im thining my only option is to put in the repair cd and hope mit doesnt wipe my shit out? any other things i can do? dont have an external but i think i could find one to use if i needed it.

If its any consolation, mine's been doing that twice in its life. Never found out why, I just wiped it and reinstalled everything. Sucks but its probably not dead forever (except whats on it)

fuck dude! that sucks.. i' not much help but is it something that apple technicians can help you with? or will that end up costing a grip of $?

yeah i dont have the money to send it in. it's booting from the repair disk now, and so far that is my only option so i guess im doing that, and praying.

well, um – i don't know, I dont have a lot of patience, plus I kept backups so I didn't have time to argue with the evil machine at the time so I just erased everything.
Mine died right before the desktop showed, with the grey apple. After a little while it turned into a queestion mark (which, by the by means that its missing the OS.. err.) and stopped there. Do you get that far?
