My parents have done it in the past. We had 3 dozen baby chicks delivered from a farm in NY (to Maine). They came the next day via FedEx. They were all alive and peeping away. It was pretty funny, actually.

it's nice though but imo it's too similar with http://www.matthewmahon.com/ yeah i know it's done by the same people but i as a client wouldn't like to see the concept of my site somewhere else. unless it has been a low-budget site / part of the deal ofcourse.
