So, I have noticed that some images I open in photoshop are completely different in color than what is shown when I look at them in, say, 'Preview'. Usually, the hues are shifted to the left in the Hue spectrum.
For instance, when I take a screenshot and open it in Photoshop, the colors are more magenta-ish.
Does anyone know what's going on?
I'm using a Mac w/ PS CS.
Thanks

Yeah, RGB.
Jevad- I couldn't find the 'n00b filters' ...

But seriously now- I can just adjust the hue... but, I just want to know if Photoshop is not set up correctly- or if this is something that happens to everyone or what...

mac or pc?

I'm guessing you installed illustrator after, which sometimes screws up your color profile setting in photoshop.
Happened to me, twice.

could be your gamma.
I've noticed some differences between screenshots and original files... I've got my a PC set to mac gamma. blues tend to go a bit more purpley when they get darker.
try adjusting the gamma in levels your levels
then figure out how to fix it!
(I'm just coping with it, haven't bothered to fix yet)

Thanks for the help.
The main thing I'm worried about is that I'm not sure which colors are correct - those in photoshop or in preview.
If photoshop has the screwed up color- how am I supposed to color correct anything correctly??
