i help out with IT stuff on occasion at a small company, and you'd be shocked by the number of people that don't even realize they have a choice of browsers!!

I understood what you meant, it's true. I am not saying it is a great product.
There may be some things that they don't include because of deals with other companies? For instance, a built in pop up blocker should be manditory for any browser in this day and age. Or if not a pop up blocker, at least some device that will block upon getting hit by more than 2 in a given amount of time.
Just the risk of getting nailed by chain pop-ups or some software that installs itself upon clicking "no" is reason enough to avoid it.. Thats not mentioning all of the dangers of ActiveX, and the whole .net crossaplication crap that opens up more doors.
A lot of the security flaws are actully features in IE's eyes...

urgh...ActiveX...is that thing used for any legitamate purpose?
and acescence, i used to be a network admin...i've got a good idea on how users think they're limited to microsoft products.

My grandfather made a browser once. It was total bullshit. It was the worst browser ever.
