Adobe aquiring MM is not a good thing.
- tehgee0
i cant effing wait.. i hope they fix everything i h8 about flash
- tehgee0
y is it a bad thing
- trevedda0
That's going to be a pretty important merger for creative/it industry.
Better work flow between those products will be great for everyone. MM and Adobe are pretty much staple kit now for designers so combining the two will if nothing else mean that all the desk top short cut icons look like they're from the same series, in future.

and possibly lower prices.

i dout Adobe is gonna take over all the r&d from MM.. i think it's gonna be more a share tech and such thing + adobe is just getting all the milk now, that's all

biggest news since britanys baby.
Monopolys are a bad thing tho
- jox0
Lower prices? *rolls eyes
- rabattski0
well getting all that milk has a price tag, $3.4 billion to be exact.
- ********0
who buys it anyway
- trevedda0
why is it bad?
No more Freehand?
No more GoLive?
- tehgee0
i agree monopolies are bad but jesus flash is such a pain with allt he workarounds trying to get things in fro m photoshop and illustrator- i feel like its a damn beta!!! and fireworks just isnt powerful enough
- rabattski0
could be, not saying it would be but sharing r&d, sharing marketing (if it's going to be 1 brand) and sharing shared fixed costs will mean lower overal costs. they could let the consumer profit of that. then again it's becoming a monopoly so the customer hasn't got any other choice so they might as well go for increases in profit. hard to tell.

very possibly no job, tara...
my counterparts at Adobe got their jobs moved to Amsterdam a few months back... seeings as I don't speak Dutch and would spend too much time in coffee shops I can't see my job being safe too much longer..
