don't go to any underground, fishy place.
just make sure you go to a credible parlor.

Why don't you get "butterfly" written in kanji? That'd be..um...cool.. And then you can get like a tribal band around it..
Just kidding..whatever you get make sure it means something to you, or you have a great story behind it ("sure it looks like shit - but wow - what a great night when I got it! I don't even remember how we got into the giraffe's cage...")
Rock on.

john's been tattooing me since 1991. he's a talented artist, great person, and one of the most respected tattoo artists in the united states.
just so you know, if you make an appointment with him the wait is typically upwards of one year.

I'm a big fan of Guy Aitchison's work because it is very unique and far from the mainstream. Paul Booth has some really great work also but a bit to morbid for me.
I have to agree with version3 because many people do get some pretty lame work done just so they can say they have one. I think that's what keeps the majority of the industry going. But definitely not everyone gets them for that reason...

i've said for years that i want "MONEY" like 8 inches tall across my back (shoulder to shoulder) in like crazy flowery letterpress type cuts with a skull for the counter in the "O"...that would be sweet...i don't think the joke would ever get old...i don't have any ink though, i stuck to piercings b/c they can come out...
also, now i'm not sure about this, but is a good half sleeve really something you can get done over a vacation?...doesn't it take like several very long sessions to get it done right?

Iron Age is the place I remember the best. I think they have multiple locations, but i'm sure there is one on delmar. i haven't lived in st. louis for years. as far as tattoo advice goes, i'd say draw your own. i did.
good luck

wow, that guy uses some really heavy lines. I like it though. Combining traditional with more modern designs...nice stuff.
Which is yours opiate?

this is what I meant. Like his work but the site makes me want to puke...
- rabattski0
that's the odd thing. somehow most tattoo artists / studios manage to make the ugliest sites, same goes for convention posters, very rare if it's a good one.
- opiate0
Yeah , his site is something less to be desired. I approached him about redoing it , but the one that is up was in proress.
BUT, his posters are top notch. He works with Drowning Creek Posters. I have a couple and they are on point.
