well i was thinking that a person could end their piece by zooming in on a black shape, say a pupil or something and the next spot would take off from there
we could get really creative with it
what kind of transition did you have in mind?

i didnt have one yet, but i like your idea as long as there was a reason, i was just envisioning seeing alot of fade in/out to black that would fuck with the flow but the zooming idea or intelligent transitions to black make more sense with your explanation

instead of footage what about using a very basic colour scheme as scarabin suggested
i think allows more freedom and results will promote variation

i dont mean footage, and i agree with the color scheme but to have one character or object that we all use i think would be cool.

that animated film "heavy metal" used an artifact (the loc-nar) that linked all the stories together
maybe we could use something like a sphere and have that recurring in each piece
for the color scheme i always liked red, black, and white because they represent birth, life, and death

i thought of the ball too but seemed to much like HM as mentioned, maybe we could half rip it with a cube
or if anyone is a bomb illustrator or has a personal one already of a person, that would rock as well, if anyone would submit a vector or high res jpg

if it were a character we'd have to decide on a role or personality beforehand or everyone would give it a different one
personally i'd rather use a shape than a person but i can work with anything

if they are dreams or what not the use of a character would only let us see the experiences, the more differrent the better, imo
